Link-in-bio pages used to be a stack of buttons. You typed a label, pasted a URL, maybe changed the button color. That was the whole design experience. Linktree still works this way — and it shows.
If you sell on Shopify, a list of links is selling you short. Your bio page is the first thing followers see when they tap that link in your Instagram or TikTok profile. It should look like a page, not a menu.
LinkShop now includes a full drag-and-drop page editor. Instead of configuring a list, you build a page — with blocks for products, text, images, buttons, email capture, and more. Everything syncs with your Shopify store. No code, no design tool, no Canva mockups.
What the Block Editor Does
The block editor works like a page builder. You add blocks, arrange them by dragging, and customize each one. Your page can look completely different from a standard link-in-bio layout because you’re not locked into a template.
Here’s what you can build with:
Product blocks pull directly from your Shopify catalog. Pick a product and it displays with the current price, image, and a buy button that sends customers to Shopify checkout. When you update the price or mark it sold out in Shopify, the block updates automatically.
Text blocks let you add headlines, descriptions, or any message you want. Introduce a new collection, explain a promotion, or tell your brand story. This is the biggest thing missing from traditional link-in-bio tools — the ability to say something between links.
Button blocks are your classic link-in-bio links, but with more control over styling and placement. Drop them between product blocks or group them together.
Email capture blocks create a Shopify customer record when someone enters their email. Not a Mailchimp subscriber — an actual customer in your Shopify admin. They’re immediately available for Klaviyo flows, Shopify Email campaigns, or any marketing tool that reads Shopify customer data. You can attach a discount code that’s delivered on signup.
Spacer and divider blocks control layout and breathing room. Small detail, but it’s the difference between a page that feels designed and one that feels auto-generated.
Why This Matters for Shopify Merchants
Every link-in-bio tool lets you add links. The block editor changes what your page can do.
You Can Sell Without Leaving the Page
Traditional link-in-bio pages redirect. Customer taps a product link, lands on your store, navigates to the product, adds to cart, checks out. Four or five steps. Each one loses people.
With product blocks, the product is already on your bio page. The customer sees it, taps buy, and goes straight to Shopify checkout. Two steps. The page itself becomes the storefront.
You Control the Story
A list of links has no narrative. It’s a directory — useful, but forgettable.
With text blocks between product blocks, you can guide visitors through a story. Lead with a headline about your new summer collection. Show three products below it. Add a text block explaining why these are your picks. End with an email capture offering early access to the next drop.
That’s a landing page, not a link list. And it converts like one.
It Matches Your Store
The editor lets you customize colors, fonts, and spacing to match your Shopify store’s branding. When someone goes from your Instagram to your bio page to checkout, the experience is cohesive. They don’t feel like they left your store to visit some third-party tool — because they didn’t.
How to Build Your Page
Open LinkShop in your Shopify admin. Create a new page or edit your existing one.
Start with Your Goal
Before adding blocks, decide what this page needs to do right now. Are you launching a product? Promoting a sale? Building an email list? Growing a YouTube channel?
Your answer determines the block order. The most important action goes at the top — above the fold on most phones.
Add Blocks in Priority Order
Tap the add button to see available block types. Start with your primary goal:
- Launching a product? Lead with a text headline + product block
- Running a sale? Headline announcing the sale + 2-3 product blocks with discounted prices
- Building your email list? Email capture block at the top with a compelling offer
- Driving traffic to content? Button blocks linking to your latest YouTube video or blog post
Then fill in supporting content below. Mix block types — alternating products with text blocks reads better than a wall of product cards.
Arrange by Dragging
Every block can be moved. Hold and drag to reorder. The editor shows a live preview so you see exactly how the page looks as you build.
The key rule: put your money-making action above the fold. On a phone screen, that’s the first two or three blocks. If someone has to scroll to find your featured product, they probably won’t.
Preview on Mobile
Your bio page is almost exclusively viewed on phones. Always preview on mobile before publishing. Check that text is readable, buttons are tappable, and product images look sharp at mobile resolution.
Common Page Layouts That Convert
Here are layouts that work for Shopify merchants, based on different goals.
The Product Launch Page
- Text block: product name + one-sentence pitch
- Product block: the new product
- Text block: two or three sentences on what makes it different
- Button block: link to a review or video demo
- Email capture: “Get notified about drops”
The Sale Page
- Text block: “Summer Sale — Up to 30% Off”
- Product block: bestseller #1
- Product block: bestseller #2
- Product block: bestseller #3
- Button block: “Shop All Sale Items” → collection page
The Content Creator Page
- Button block: latest YouTube video
- Product block: featured merch item
- Text block: about you
- Email capture: “Join the newsletter”
- Button blocks: other social links
The Email-First Page
- Email capture: “Get 15% off your first order”
- Product block: bestseller
- Product block: new arrival
- Button block: link to full store
How It Compares to Linktree
Linktree gives you a list of links. You can add thumbnails and rearrange them. That’s the extent of the “design” experience.
| Linktree | LinkShop | |
|---|---|---|
| Page structure | List of links | Drag-and-drop blocks |
| Product display | Link to product page | Embedded product with buy button |
| Email capture | Sends to Mailchimp/Zapier | Creates Shopify customer record |
| Text content | Link descriptions only | Full text blocks |
| Checkout | Redirect → store → cart → checkout | Direct to Shopify checkout |
| Shopify sync | None | Live product + price sync |
| Price | Free–$24/month | $15/month |
The free Linktree plan works if you just need a list of links. But if you sell on Shopify and want your bio page to actually drive revenue, a page with blocks does more than a page with buttons.
Tips for a Page That Converts
Keep it under 10 blocks. Your bio page isn’t your website. It’s a focused page for one visit. Too many blocks and visitors scroll without tapping anything.
Rotate with your calendar. Update your page weekly or when you launch something new. A stale bio page with last month’s promotion teaches followers to ignore it.
Use text blocks sparingly. One or two sentences, not paragraphs. Visitors are scanning on their phone between Instagram stories. Say what matters fast.
Put email capture where it earns attention. If you have a compelling offer (a discount, early access, exclusive content), put it at the top. If it’s a soft ask (“stay in the loop”), put it below your product blocks where engaged visitors will find it.
Match your store colors. Consistency builds trust. If your Shopify store uses black and white, your bio page should too. It takes 30 seconds to set in the editor and makes the whole experience feel professional.
