The Email Collection block adds an email signup form to your LinkShop page. Use it to grow your mailing list, tag subscribers in Shopify, and optionally auto-apply a discount code as a thank-you.
What It Does
The Email Collection block displays a simple form where visitors can enter their email address and tap a button to subscribe. When someone submits their email, a new customer is created in your Shopify admin with email marketing consent. If the visitor already exists as a customer, the submission still succeeds — no error is shown. You can optionally tag subscribers and auto-apply a discount code to their cart.
Settings
- Heading — A title displayed above the email form (e.g., “Join our list”)
- Description — Optional text below the heading to tell visitors why they should subscribe
- Button text — The label on the submit button. Defaults to “Subscribe” if left empty
- Success message — The message shown after a successful submission. Defaults to “Thanks for subscribing!” if left empty
- Discount — Toggle on to auto-apply a discount code when someone subscribes. When enabled, a Code field appears where you enter the discount code
- Tag customer — Toggle on to add a tag to the subscriber in Shopify. When enabled, a Tag field appears where you can set a custom tag. Defaults to “linkshop-subscriber” if left empty

Tips
- Collected emails appear in your Shopify admin under Customers with email marketing consent — you can use them in Shopify Email, Klaviyo, or any other email tool that syncs with Shopify
- If you enable the discount, make sure the code already exists in your Shopify admin under Discounts — the block applies it to the visitor’s cart but doesn’t create it
- The discount is applied to the visitor’s cart, so it works best when you also have product blocks on your LinkShop
- Use tags to segment subscribers — for example, tag them “linkshop-vip” to identify your social media audience in Shopify
- If a visitor enters an email that already exists in your customer list, it still shows a success message — no duplicate errors are shown
