LinkShop tracks how visitors use your page and how much they buy. The numbers live in two places: the Analytics card on the LinkShop dashboard for the big picture, and the Analytics tab inside the editor for block-by-block detail.
What Is Tracked
- Page views — Every visit to your LinkShop. Counted once per visit.
- Block views — A block counts a view when at least half of it scrolls into sight. A visitor who never scrolls down to a block does not add a view to it.
- Clicks — Taps on Link blocks.
- Add to carts — Products added to the cart from a Product, Product Grid or Product Slider block, whether from the card itself or from the product sheet.
- Orders and sales — Orders placed through your LinkShop cart. These come straight from Shopify’s own sales reports.
Views, clicks and add to carts are counted per day. Opening your own page in the editor preview does not count.
The Dashboard Card
The Analytics card on the LinkShop dashboard shows your page’s performance for a period you choose: Today, Last 7 days, Last 30 days or Last 90 days.
- Views — Page views in the period
- Orders — Orders placed through LinkShop
- Sales — Revenue from those orders
- Conversion — Orders divided by views
- AOV — Average order value
Orders, sales and AOV each show a small trend line for the period.
The Editor Analytics Tab
Open your LinkShop and click Analytics in the editor’s navigation. This view always covers the last 30 days and shows:
- Views, Clicks and Add to Carts totals across all blocks. The Clicks total includes add to carts.
- Top blocks — The five blocks with the most engagement (views plus clicks plus add to carts), with each block’s own numbers. Link blocks without a name are listed by their URL.
- Top products — The five product variants added to the cart most often, with the block they came from.
Per-Block Numbers
Every block has its own Analytics section. Click a block in the editor and expand Analytics to see:
- Views — With the date of the most recent view
- Clicks (Link blocks) or Add to Carts (product blocks) — With the date of the most recent one
Image and video blocks show views only.
How Sales Are Attributed
Every cart created on your LinkShop is tagged as a LinkShop cart, so when the customer completes checkout, Shopify records the order against the LinkShop sales channel. That is what the Orders, Sales, Conversion and AOV numbers are built from — the same data you see in Shopify under Analytics when you filter by sales channel.
This also means LinkShop orders appear in Shopify’s own reports alongside your Online Store and other channels, so you can compare them there too.
Why Orders and Sales Show a Dash
Reading order data requires Shopify’s approval for the app to access your store’s orders. Until that approval is in place for your store, the Orders, Sales, Conversion and AOV numbers show — while Views keep working. No data is lost: once access is granted, the numbers fill in for the whole period.
Tips
- Compare the Top blocks list with your block order. A product with lots of views but few add to carts may need a better image, price tag or description.
- Give Link blocks a name in the editor so they are easy to recognise in Top blocks instead of showing as a URL.
- A high view count with a low click count on a block near the bottom usually means most visitors never scroll that far — move your most important block higher.
- Use the dashboard’s Last 90 days view to judge a change you made, and the editor’s Analytics tab to see which block the change affected.
