Checkout Links for Influencers
Influencer campaigns die on two problems: attribution and discount-code fraud. Solve both and the rest is the campaign brief.
Per-creator Checkout Links solve both at once.
What you get
- One link per creator. Same product, same offer — but each creator gets a unique URL with their own UTM and (optionally) their own discount baked in.
- Discount that can't leak. The discount is in the URL, not on a coupon page. If the link gets shared, that's traffic; not the same as a code circulating on Reddit.
- Usage limits and expiry. Cap the link at 200 uses, or one-per-customer, or expire it 14 days after launch. All settings on the link, not the discount.
- Clean attribution. Per-link analytics: clicks, checkouts, orders, revenue — attributed to the creator, no spreadsheet reconciliation.
- Branded QR. Every link has a downloadable QR for podcast guests, magazine features, packaging — anywhere a URL is awkward.
The flow
- Build a Checkout Link template for the campaign — products, discount, usage limit, expiry.
- Duplicate it per creator, with a unique short code and UTM each.
- Send each creator their link for the channels you've agreed on.
- Track per-creator in your Shopify-native dashboard.
