Checkout Links for Klaviyo

Klaviyo is best-in-class at one thing: getting the email into the right inbox at the right time. What it can't do is control the destination once the recipient clicks. By default that destination is "your cart page" or "your product page" — and a few percent of clickers drop off between there and checkout.

Checkout Links closes that gap.

What you replace

A standard Klaviyo abandoned cart email button points at {{ event.checkout_url }} or your store's /cart page. That works, sort of — the customer lands on cart, clicks checkout, and then deals with shipping, discount fields, and the rest.

Replace the link with a Checkout Link URL: customer lands directly on checkout, with their abandoned items pre-loaded and the recovery discount baked in. No discount field showing. No cart-review step.

The flows where this matters most

  • Abandoned cart: the canonical use case. Recovery link goes straight to one-tap checkout.
  • Browse abandonment: product they looked at, in a one-click cart, with a "since you were curious" offer.
  • Post-purchase upsell: complementary product, pre-loaded, one-click reorder for repeat customers.
  • Win-back / lapsed: their most-loved past product, in a cart, with a return-customer discount that they never have to type.
  • VIP / launch: early-access drops, gated by passcode, expiring in 24 hours — all link-level features.

Per-recipient personalisation

Beyond the campaign-wide link, you can pass Klaviyo merge tags as URL parameters and have Checkout Links pre-fill the recipient's email, name, and shipping address (where you have it). The recipient lands on a checkout that knows who they are — fewer fields, less abandonment.
