Best Linkpop Alternative for Shopify in 2026

Shopify retired Linkpop. If you were using it — or hoping to — here are the best alternatives that actually connect to your Shopify store.

Shopify retired Linkpop. If you were using it, your bio link now goes nowhere — or it redirects to a page that no longer updates. If you were planning to set it up, that option is gone.

Linkpop was the only link-in-bio tool built by Shopify. It synced your products, used your Shopify checkout, and didn’t charge extra. For merchants who wanted a simple bio page connected to their store, it was the obvious choice.

Now it’s dead, and most “Linkpop alternative” articles recommend tools that don’t integrate with Shopify at all. Linktree, Beacons, Later — fine products for creators, but they don’t use your Shopify checkout, don’t sync your inventory, and don’t create Shopify customers.

This guide covers alternatives that actually work with Shopify, ranked by how well they replace what Linkpop did.

What Linkpop Actually Did

Before comparing alternatives, here’s what you’re replacing:

  • Product sync from Shopify. Add a product in Shopify, it shows up on your bio page.
  • Shopify checkout. Customers bought through your actual Shopify checkout — Shop Pay, saved addresses, express checkout, all of it.
  • Free. No monthly fee, no transaction fee.
  • Custom domain support. You could point your own domain to your Linkpop page.
  • Basic analytics. Click tracking and link performance.

The non-negotiable feature was Shopify checkout. That’s what separated Linkpop from every standalone bio tool. If the replacement doesn’t keep your checkout native, you’ve downgraded.

The Alternatives

1. LinkShop — Best Overall Replacement

LinkShop is a Shopify app built specifically as a link-in-bio page for merchants. It replaces everything Linkpop did, plus features Linkpop never shipped.

What it does:

  • Products sync automatically from your Shopify catalog — prices, variants, inventory, images
  • Customers check out through your Shopify checkout (Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay all work)
  • Drag-and-drop editor with customizable blocks: products, links, text, images, video, email collection
  • Custom domains via Shopify redirect (your-store.com/bio → your LinkShop page)
  • Analytics: views, clicks, and sales per block
  • Email collection block that creates Shopify customer records — subscribers land in your customer list, not a third-party tool

What it costs: $15/month. No transaction fees. No per-click charges.

Why it’s the best Linkpop replacement: It’s the closest thing to what Linkpop was — a Shopify-native bio page where products sync and checkout stays native. The difference is it does more. Linkpop was deliberately minimal: links and shoppable products, that’s it. LinkShop gives you a real page builder with blocks for content, email capture, and branding.

For the merchant who just lost Linkpop and wants the same thing but better, this is the move.

Linktree is the default. When someone says “link-in-bio,” they mean Linktree. And for non-Shopify use cases — creators, podcasters, personal brands — it’s solid.

What it does:

  • Simple link list with click tracking
  • Shopify product integration on paid plans ($9/month+)
  • Commerce links that display product images and prices
  • Customizable themes and branding

Where it falls short for Shopify merchants:

  • No Shopify checkout. Clicking a product on Linktree redirects to your product page, not directly to checkout. The customer has to navigate your full store to buy.
  • No real inventory sync. Product data is pulled via integration but doesn’t update in real-time. Price changes and stock-outs can lag.
  • No variant selection. A hoodie in four colors shows as one link. The customer picks their variant after clicking through to your store.
  • No customer data. Email collection on Linktree stays in Linktree. It doesn’t create Shopify customers.
Feature Linkpop (retired) LinkShop Linktree
Shopify checkout Yes Yes No (redirects to store)
Shop Pay / express checkout Yes Yes No
Auto product sync Yes Yes Partial
Variant selection on page No Yes No
Email → Shopify customer No Yes No
Custom domain Yes Yes Yes (paid plan)
Price Free $15/mo $9-49/mo

3. Stan Store — Best for Digital Products (Not Physical)

Stan Store is a creator commerce platform. It handles digital products, courses, bookings, and memberships well. If you sell mostly digital goods and don’t need Shopify integration, it’s a strong platform.

The Shopify problem: Stan Store doesn’t integrate with Shopify. At all. It’s a parallel store. Your Shopify products, inventory, discounts, and customer data don’t exist on Stan. If you’re selling physical products through Shopify, Stan Store is a second store you have to manage separately.

The fee problem: The free plan takes 5% of every transaction. The paid plan is $99/year. Either way, you’re paying Stan to process orders that should be going through Shopify.

For Shopify merchants with physical products, Stan Store isn’t a Linkpop replacement — it’s a different category entirely.

4. Beacons — Feature-Rich but Expensive for Shopify Sellers

Beacons packs a lot into one tool: bio page, digital store, email marketing, media kits, invoicing. For full-time creators without a Shopify store, it’s impressive.

The Shopify problem: Beacons connects to Shopify through Rye, displaying your products on the bio page. But purchases go through Beacons’ checkout, not yours. No Shop Pay. No saved addresses. No Shopify discounts.

The fee problem: The free plan takes 9% of every sale. On $1,000/month in bio link revenue, that’s $90. LinkShop’s entire monthly cost is $15.

If you’re already deep in the Beacons ecosystem for media kits and brand deals, it might make sense. For a Shopify merchant who just needs a bio page that sells, it’s overkill with the wrong checkout.

5. Build Your Own (Shopify Theme Page)

You can technically build a link-in-bio page as a page in your Shopify theme. Create a page template, add sections for links and products, publish it at /pages/bio.

Why merchants do this: No extra app. No monthly fee. Full control over design.

Why it usually doesn’t work well:

  • Your theme’s header, footer, and navigation show up — defeating the focused bio page experience
  • No analytics beyond Shopify’s standard page views (no per-link click tracking)
  • Product blocks depend on your theme’s capabilities — most themes don’t have a “shoppable link list” section
  • Mobile experience is your theme’s mobile experience, which was designed for a full store, not a single-purpose bio page
  • No email collection without a third-party app

It’s free and it works in a pinch. But if your bio link is driving real traffic, you’ll outgrow it quickly.

What to Look For in a Linkpop Replacement

Non-negotiable: Shopify checkout. If the tool replaces your checkout with its own, you lose Shop Pay, saved addresses, and express checkout. On mobile — where all bio link traffic comes from — that costs conversions. This is the single biggest factor.

Product sync. Your bio page should reflect your Shopify catalog automatically. When you change a price or sell out of a product, the bio page should update without you touching it.

Email capture that connects to Shopify. Collecting emails is useless if they live in a third-party tool. The email should create a Shopify customer, so your marketing automations and segments work from day one.

Mobile-first design. Nobody is clicking your bio link from a desktop. The page needs to look good and load fast on a phone. Period.

No transaction fees. You’re already paying Shopify’s payment processing. An additional percentage on top is money out of your margin for no reason.

The Quick Answer

If you were using Linkpop and need a replacement: LinkShop is the most direct upgrade. Same Shopify-native checkout, same product sync, plus email collection, custom blocks, and a real page editor — for $15/month.

If you don’t sell physical products on Shopify: Linktree or Stan Store might be fine, depending on what you sell and how you sell it.

If you sell on Shopify: your checkout is your competitive advantage. Don’t give it up for a bio link.
