Header Block

Set up the Header block: logo, title, description, call-to-action button, social links, and the Classic or Hero style.

The Header block sits at the top of your LinkShop page. It introduces your brand with a logo, title, description, an optional call-to-action button and your social links.

What It Does

The Header block is typically the first thing visitors see on your LinkShop. It shows your store name, a short description, your logo and icons linking to your social profiles. You can also add a button that links to any URL — perfect for directing traffic to a sale, a new collection, or your main website.

It comes in two styles. Classic sits on your page background. Hero puts the whole header in a full-width band with a background of its own.

Settings

  • Style — Classic or Hero. See Hero style below
  • Header Title — The main heading displayed at the top of your page
  • Description — A short tagline or bio that appears below the title
  • Show button — Toggle on to add a call-to-action button. When enabled, you can set the Button Text and Button URL
  • Show Logo — Toggle on to display a logo above the title. When enabled, you can upload or select a Logo image and choose its Logo shape: Circle or Rounded square
  • Social links — The icons under your header. See below

Your social links are set in the Header block, under Social links. Each link is one row with a drag handle, the platform’s icon, its link and a delete button.

  1. Click Add social and pick a platform. The list only shows platforms you haven’t added yet
  2. Type the link into the new row
  3. Drag rows by their handle to reorder them. Your page shows the icons in the same order
  4. To remove one, click the delete button on its row

You don’t need to paste a full address for most platforms:

  • A handle like @yourstore or yourstore becomes the profile link for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, X, Threads, Pinterest, Snapchat, LinkedIn and Messenger
  • A phone number on WhatsApp becomes a WhatsApp chat link
  • An email address becomes a link that opens a new email
  • Spotify and Shopify need the full address

The link is tidied up when you leave the field, so you can see what visitors will get. A row you leave empty isn’t saved.

There are 14 platforms: Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, X, Threads, Pinterest, Snapchat, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Messenger, Spotify, Shopify and Email.

Hero Style

Set Style to Hero to put your logo, title, description, button and social icons in a full-width band at the top of the page. The rest of your page keeps its usual background, so the band stands out on its own.

Choose the band’s Background:

  • Gradient — Pick one of six presets, or choose your own From and To colors
  • Color — One solid color
  • Image — A picture from your Shopify files, or one you upload there. Add an Overlay (Dark or Light) and an Overlay strength from none to 80% so your text stays readable on a busy photo

Text and social icons pick a readable color from the background automatically: light on dark backgrounds, dark on light ones. To choose the text color yourself, open the block’s Styling and set Headline.

The Hero style uses a larger title than Classic. Logo shape works the same in both styles.

How to Add a Header Block

  1. Open your LinkShop in the Shopify admin
  2. Click the + button to add a new block
  3. Select Header from the block list
  4. Enter your Header Title and Description
  5. Optionally turn on Show Logo and upload your logo
  6. Optionally turn on Show button and set the button text and URL
  7. Add your social links with Add social
  8. Click Save

Tips

  • Keep your description short — one or two sentences works best on mobile
  • Use the button to highlight your most important link, like a current promotion or your main store
  • Square or circular logos work best. The logo displays at a compact size, so avoid images with small text
  • Put the platform where most of your followers are first
  • For a Hero image, a photo with a calm area in the middle works best. If the text is hard to read, raise the Overlay strength
  • Your header’s title, description and logo are also what a shared link to your page shows, unless you set a share preview
