Creating a storefront link is the same as any other link — you change one setting.
Steps
- Click Create link from the dashboard.
- Give the link a name you’ll recognise later, like “Spring sale — Instagram”.
- Under Destination, choose Storefront.
- Add the products you want in the cart.
- Add a promotion if you want one — a discount, a free gift, or free shipping.
- Click Save.
The link is ready to share as soon as it’s saved.
Choosing where customers land
By default customers land on your store’s homepage with the cart built. You can send them somewhere more specific instead — a collection page for a sale, or a product page for a single-item offer.
Point the link at the page that matches the offer. Sending someone to your homepage when the email promised a specific collection makes them hunt for it.
Adding products is optional
A storefront link doesn’t have to carry products. A link with a promotion and no products applies the offer to whatever the customer puts in their cart themselves — useful for a site-wide sale where you don’t want to pre-select anything.
Tips
- Turn on the Checkout Links app embed so discounts and progress messages show in the cart.
- Use a separate link per channel so you can tell which one earned the orders.
- Set an expiry if the offer has an end date, so the link stops working when the sale does.
