Storefront links

Add a storefront banner

Show a bar on your store confirming the offer a customer arrived with.

A storefront banner is a bar that appears on your store when a customer arrives through a storefront link. It confirms the offer they clicked on, so there’s no doubt it worked.

Without one, a customer who clicks “20% off everything” lands on a normal-looking store and has to check their cart to see whether anything happened.

Set one up

  1. Open the link and choose Storefront as the destination.
  2. Find the banner section in the link editor.
  3. Write the message — short and specific beats clever.
  4. Adjust the appearance to match your store.
  5. Click Save.

Appearance settings

  • Style — the overall look of the bar.
  • Background colour, text colour and border colour.
  • Border, including a dotted option.
  • Corner radius — square through to fully rounded.
  • Width — full width or contained.
  • Dismissible — whether customers can close it.

Writing the message

State the offer, not the mechanism. “Your 20% is applied — it comes off at checkout” tells the customer what they need to know. “Discount code applied via link” does not.

Keep it to one line. The banner competes with your own store’s messaging, and a long banner reads as an ad.

Tips

  • Make it dismissible if customers are likely to browse for a while.
  • Match your store’s colours rather than using a loud contrast — it reads as part of the store, not an interruption.
  • Say when the offer ends if it has an end date.
