Your LinkShop is a real store, not a list of links. Visitors can browse, choose variants, fill a cart and pay without ever leaving the page — the only handoff is to Shopify’s checkout at the very end. Here is the journey your customers take.
The Page
Your LinkShop is built for phones. Along the bottom sits a tab bar with Home, any extra pages you have added, and Cart. Products appear as cards inside your Product, Product Grid and Product Slider blocks, each showing the image, title, price and — when the item is on sale — the compare-at price.
Tapping a Product
Tapping a product card opens the product sheet, a panel that slides up over the page. It shows:
- The product images, with thumbnails to switch between them when there is more than one
- The title, price and any compare-at price
- The description
- A variant picker for size, color and other options
- A subscription picker when the product offers subscriptions, with each plan’s price shown
- An Add to cart button, styled in your checkout button colors
Product cards also work without opening the sheet: on a product with several variants, the card shows the selected variant’s name — tapping it opens the variant picker — and the card’s Add button adds that variant straight to the cart.
Sold-Out Items
When the selected variant is out of stock, the button reads Sold out and cannot be tapped. Shoppers can still switch to another variant that is available.
Adding to the Cart
Tapping Add to cart adds one unit and switches the page to the Cart tab straight away, so the shopper sees the item land in their cart. They can tap Home to keep browsing; the cart badge on the tab bar shows how many items are in it.
The Cart
The Cart tab lists everything added, with image, title, variant and price. For each line the shopper can:
- Change the quantity with the + and − buttons (taking a single item down to zero removes it)
- Tap the item to reopen its product sheet
- See how much they are saving on items with a compare-at price, and any discount applied to the line
The subtotal updates as they go.
Discounts
If you have set a discount code in your LinkShop settings, it is applied automatically to every cart, so the discounted prices show in the cart before checkout. See Discounts for how to set one up.
Checkout
Tapping Checkout opens Shopify’s checkout in a new tab with the cart already filled. Everything from here on — payment, shipping, taxes, order confirmation — is standard Shopify checkout, using your store’s settings. The shopper’s LinkShop tab stays open, so they can come back to it afterwards.
Orders placed this way are recorded against the LinkShop sales channel in Shopify, which is how your LinkShop analytics count them. See Analytics.
The Cart Remembers
A shopper’s cart is saved in their browser. If they leave and come back later on the same device, the same items are still in the cart.
Troubleshooting
- A product is missing from the page — It is probably not published to the LinkShop sales channel. See Products Not Appearing.
- A product shows Sold out — That variant has no stock available in Shopify. Check inventory for the variant, not just the product.
- Prices look wrong in the cart — Compare-at prices and discount codes both show as savings in the cart. Check the product’s compare-at price in Shopify and the discount code in your LinkShop settings.
Tips
- Lead with your best-selling product in a Product block near the top. It gets the most views, and its Add button is one tap.
- Keep variant names short (“S”, “M”, “L” rather than “Small — fits chest 36–38”) so the variant picker stays readable on a phone.
- Add a compare-at price in Shopify when running a sale; LinkShop shows the saving on the card, in the product sheet and in the cart.
